Social Permaculture Course in Canberra a Great Success

‘Dynamic Teaching and Facilitation’ Book Update and Book List Snippet

The first in a series of Robin’s Mini books, entitled ‘Dynamic Teaching and Facilitation – The Foundations’ is almost ready to go to several proof readers before then being updated and finally making its way to the Editor. The reference book list is complete and ready to add to the appendixes. A briefing with the artist for the structural design of the book and artwork is imminent. Two pertinent questions will be sent out to over 200 of you who have done either of Robin’s ‘Dynamic Groups, Dynamic Learning’ courses, any of the versions (TAA or BSZ) of the CERT IV in Training and Assessment or the original Skye and Robin’s ‘Advanced Permaculture Creative Teachers Facilitation course. News from IPC (International Permaculture Convergence) in India

The IPC in India recently was a feast of colour, culture and fabulous Indian cuisine with interesting presentations, much networking and diverse learning opportunities as 1200 people from over 70 countries gathered for the week near Hyderabad. The two day Conference was held at an agricultural research college on the edge of the city and was brimming with Indian farmers. 350 people had travelled around the globe to be be part of the event and other came from all over India. Robin set up a small stall with her books, card games and resources and get to be set up in between Indian seed sellers and traders of Indian crafts and baskets. She also made a valuable contribution to the Conference by presenting a panel titled ‘Are Women Leading the Change’ as the finale program item for the weekend. UK Adventure Begins Tour of Europe

Robin’s seven country ‘Dynamic Groups’ course tour began in the UK at The Sustainability Centre in Hampshire in mid May. The centre is an educational trust and offers facilities and experiences for adult workshops, school tours and a diversity of learning opportunities, volunteering and ways to be involved. Half the property is a natural burial ground where people are laid to rest in a simple earth friendly way. Such a beautiful thing to witness. The centre is also home to a delicious vegetarian cafe and Permanent Publication, a book publisher and producer of the UK Permaculture Magazine, a very quality and informative publication. Here’s a link to the centre. There were many highlights from the Dynamic Groups course, one being a large and very colourful, facilitated group design painting.
