Jumping into the Future in a Dynamic Collaboration

In March 2008 Robin initiated an innovative completion process for the ‘Future Visions’ session on the final day of the APC9 (Australasian Permaculture Convergence. Sydney), having been invited to facilitate the three hour session. Her now infamous ‘Jumping’ Process has been the completion for all four APC’s since and has been introduced to the IPC (International Permaculture Convergence) in Cuba and last year in UK. At APC13 in WA in October Robin led the ‘Jumping’ on the final day and along with many others also had a turn jumping off the stage. Erin Young and Robin held hands and jumped together into a future of supporting each other to achieve success in Robin’s business in such a way that it creates an income for both Erin and Robin and also for Erin to support Robin to get her next book out there in the world. The process has started and …

A Glimpse into Robin’s New Book

A String Web which can be used for celebrating each person

Robin’s currently working on the ToolBox chapter of her new book, number 1 in the series of 5. Here’s one entry (unedited as yet) from the ‘Glue Processes’ section, complete with an activity and a process to try out.CELEBRATION  PROCESSESThis is one of the most important activities in the Tool Box for helping people integrate and be able to complete with the group and move forward. Celebrations can mark the end of a project or group, they can thank and honour a person who is leaving or they can acknowledge a job well done. It may be that a long term vision or goal is achieved and it’s time for the next phase of the group or that major funding has been received. Celebrations are like a ‘Rite of Passage’ which acknowledges transitions and supports the moving on. They often help people relax and step outside their usual roles and …

The Sacred Union Labyrinth at Woodford Folk Festival, Qld

Woodford Folk festival attracts 120,000 visitors over a six day period from 27th December to 1st January each year. For three years running Robin has coordinated and enjoyed immensely participating in creating ‘The Sacred Union Labyrinth’ as an art instillation and community ceremony space. It takes weeks of gathering materials, a full week to construct and one and a half days to return to nature at the end. Much maintenance is required to keep the space fresh and beautiful throughout the festival for literally thousands of people to walk. Four sacred ceremonies are held, where participants walk the Labyrinth to live music. The ceremonies are facilitated by Robin, Mark Healy, Christine Clegg, Stephane Cazard and Rob Clark. Robin is deeply honoured to share her design with the world in this expansive and supported way and acknowledges Mark for his spark of inspiration, Rob for his co-dreaming of the project and …

Woodford Folk Festival Sacred Union Labyrinth

Woodford Folk Festival, held in December for 6 days each year, is the biggest and most acclaimed festival of it’s kind in Australia. For the last two years Robin and her troupe of installation artists, ceremony weavers and musicians have made her design of ‘The Sacred Union Labyrinth’ as a 10 x 10 meter meditative walk that patrons can experience any time during the festival. A magical pathway leads through a bamboo construction heart entranceway and via a series of pennants that give instructions about how to walk the labyrinth. Four times during the festival she and Mark Healy, who was the spark behind Robin designing the labyrinth, with support from Christine Clegg, Rob Clark and Stephane Cazard, lead sacred community ceremonies accompanied by a merry band of four musicians to the delight of everyone involved. The whole installation was embellished with Rob Clark’s amazing sign art and this last …
