Social Permaculture Weekend 10th and 11th September

Social Permaculture Course at Crystal Waters EcoVillage

Robin’s excited to let you know about the Social Permaculture Weekend coming up at Crystal Waters Eco-Village on 10th and 11th September. Occasionally she offers a one day version when invited by interested groups. Last year she was part of the facilitation team for a five day Social Permaculture course in England with Starhawk, Robina McCurdy, Looby Macnamara and Peter Cow. 45 participants received the benefits of these experienced and passionate Permaculture educators. Robina McCurdy is visiting Australia for a couple of months so Robin’s grabbed the opportunity and invited her to collaborate and offer this one off weekend experience and exploration of Social Permaculture. It will especially appeal and be useful for anyone working in group situations, from course and group  leaders and facilitators to transition group participants, workplace teams, community groups, social enterprises, even families. Topics will include:- What is Social Permaculture? Using the Principles of Permaculture and …

‘Dynamic Groups, Dynamic Learning’ courses

Social Permaculture, Robin Clayfield, Robinba McCurdy

Following successful ‘Dynamic Groups, Dynamic Learning’ courses in UK last August and Melbourne in February, Robin will offer her only other Dynamic Groups course for the year at Crystal Waters in SE Qld from 21st to 26th August. With taking time out to write and a big trip to WA in October for the APC13 (Australasian Permaculture Convergence), Robin’s decided to wait till her UK and Europe adventure in mid 2017 to run any more of these creative teachers facilitation courses. The Europe tour is taking shape with courses already confirmed in Mallorca (Spain), Italy and Slovenia and quite possibly Switzerland, Germany, UK, Portugal and maybe France and Israel. Wow! It’s looking like a big year next year for Dynamic Groups work. Click here to see the poster for ‘Dynamic Groups, Dynamic Learning’ Course 21st to 26th August

‘Dynamic Groups, Dynamic Learning’ Teacher Training and Creative Facilitation Course – 15th to 20th November 2015 SE Q’ld Australia

Robin’s leading edge 6 day training at Crystal Waters in SE Q’ld has become an annual event while she does her best to retreat to write her next series of books about the ‘Dynamic Groups’ Methodology.  This next course will be the last she personally organises till late 2016 though she has been invited to Melbourne for a ‘Dynamic Groups’ course in February and WA in September for one preceding the Australasian Permaculture Convergence. It takes a lot of time and energy to organise and host a course so Robin’s said she’ll only present the if she’s invited and the host does the organisation and promotion. This year’s November course will see Erin Young join Robin as her assistant. Erin has done Robin’s Dynamic Groups Course previously and supports her work in many ways as well as collaborating on group decision making processes and particularly with Sociocracy.  The course is …

Crystal Waters Permaculture Eco-Village – Annual Permaculture Design Course SE Q’ld Australia

New PDC Course October 18 – 30 For the second year running now Crystal Waters Community Co-op has organised a PDC (Permaculture Design Course) with Max Lindegger as the key Teacher. Robin’s been a guest presenter each time.  The sessions she presented in April addressed ‘Making an income as a Permaculture Practitioner, ‘Group work and Group Dynamics’ to prepare the group to work together in small groups for their property design activity and Prepping for the Design phase. This last topic saw Robin lead an exercise involving her ‘Patterns in Nature’ Card game where everyone got to design something inspired by nature’s patterns. She also introduced scale rulers, flexi curves, circle templates and hand drawn templates made to scale  as tools the groups could use. To stay in touch about PDC’s at Crystal Watersvisit http://crystalwaters.org.au/permaculture-design-course/

Social Permaculture Smorgasboard

What is Social Permaculture? As a culture and a movement for positive global change we’re getting better and better at designing our gardens, food systems, buildings and landscapes using Permaculture Principles, common sense ways of sensitively developing systems to sustain ourselves based on how nature and natural systems work. Designing our social systems, groups, communities and our household living using the same principles gives us an interesting exercise in ‘People Care’, a key Ethic of Permaculture. Try taking each of the Permaculture Principles and explore how your favourite group or a course you’ve just done has integrated each of the principles. Imagine how our world would be if all our organisations, groups, learning environments and neighbourhoods embraced these great approaches to life and people. Dive more deeply into exploring this theme by joining Robin and Friends for A SMORGASBOARD of Social Permaculture, Community Development and Valuable Skill Enhancement.  4 workshops …
