This is a special one day intensive for people involved in Community organisations and groups who would like more skills, ideas, tools and processes for making decisions and having discussions as a group. It brings in creativity, fun, team builing and successful, interactive processes in a ‘Dynamic Group’ context.
15th to 18th November
Offered specially for Northey Street City Farm and others involved in permaculture, Transition, Community Gardens, City Farms and all things sustainable. This is a low budget, residential 4 days training designed to upskill people and generate confidence and add more tools to the tool box.
Imagine 160 people gathered together for 3 days on the Spring Equinox, celebrating together, enjoying, learning and growing in workshops, swimming, dancing, participating in ceremonies and activities, honouring each other and exploring the meeting of Masculine and Feminine energies, with others and within oneself. This annual gathering is booked out this year, weeks before the event, but stay tuned to this evolving and culturally transformative community of people working from a deep hearted centre.
Robin has been the Holder of the Ceremonial Energy since 2005 and takes care to ensure a powerful, relevant and moving Opening and Closing Ceremony each year as well as occasionally leading ‘The Ritual of Balance’, a 3 hour dance journey which takes place in sacred space.

At this very moment, far away in South Australia, inspirational and highly skilled puppet maker, Rebecca Dostel is carving and creating a 30cm ELFy Puppet. If you haven’t met ELFy before, ELFy is a Jigsaw Puzzle, where each of the pieces represents an essential aspect which, when all the bits are combined, creates a successful, fun and dynamic group. ELFy stands for ‘Educator, Facilitator, Leader’ and is a colourful, elven like magician that embodies the ‘Dynamic Groups, Dynamic Learning’ Methodology. There’s been two versions of ELFy previously, one created originally as a flat plan magician by Monica Marion from Spain. The second version is a wonderful illustration by Rob Clark which is on the back of both Robin’s more recent educational card games – ‘The NEW Permaculture Principles Card Game’ and ‘The Creative Process Wild Cards’. Now for this three dimensional puppet that will stand without strings and be able to be photographed in many different scenes and postures as the graphics for Robin’s upcoming book ‘Dynamic Teaching and Facilitation – The Foundations of Group Work’. Rebecca is carving ELFy out of Rosewood, first with a bandsaw then fine tuning it with chisels and sanding etc. She’s also wonderfully creative with fabric and ELFy will even have luscious leather magician shoes.
